1. The following horses may participate
in the Virtual Show:
Purebred Akhal-Teke stallion and mares from one to ten years old,
registered in the General Studbook of purebred Akhal-Teke horses at
VNIIK or having passports of purebred Akhal-Teke horses issued by
VNIIK.
2. The following categories of horses may NOT participate in the Virtual
Show:
-horses that have already earned the title “World Champion” or “Virtual
World Champion”;
-two-sided cryptorchids.
3. You should furnish the following in
order to participate in the Virtual Show:
-completed application (please print, see below) that
includes the horse owner’s full name, mailing address, telephone and
fax numbers, and email address;
-high-quality video recording of the participating horse in PAL video
standard, which meets the requirements listed later
in this document;
-three high-quality A5 size (15x20cm) color photos of the participating
horse, two of which should be the close-up side shots of the horse
standing in proper zoo-technical position - one from the right side
and one from the left side; the other photo should be the side view
close-up shot of your horse’s head. You may send one additional photo
if you wish, that captures your horse at a more creative angle.
-copy of your horse’s VNIIK passport or pedigree certificate, confirming
its descent.
-veterinary certificate (in English or Russian) that states both the
health condition of your horse, as well as the presence or absence
of exterior flaws, such as one- or two-sided cryptorchism or a shortened
lower jaw;
-paid fee for participating in the Virtual Show (see
below).
4. All required materials should be received
before August 05, 2003 at:

5. The video and photos will not be returned.
6. The Akhal-Teke Horse Breeding Association has the right to use
the video and photos for advertising purposes, for marketing the Akhal-Teke
breed within and out of the frames of the International Akhal-Teke
Breed Show and Sport Meetings.
7. All participants in the Virtual Show will be included in the Catalog
of participants of the International Akhal-Teke Breed Show.
8. The Virtual Show will be organized according to the following categories:
the one-year-old class; the two-year-old class, divided into classes
of stallions and mares, and the three- to ten-year-old class, also
divided into classes of stallions and mares.
9. All horses of “Virtual Show” will be judged by the same judges
as of the “World Championship of 2003”.
10. All videos and photos will be presented in front of the judge’s
committee. Each judge will give his/her own evaluation, on a scale
of one to ten, of the type and external appearance of the presented
horses, and enters this evaluation into his/her official protocol.
11. The secretary will then collect all of the protocols, determine
the average marks for each horse and enter them into the overall protocol.
The highest and lowest marks of each horse will be excluded from the
calculations.
12. Prize titles and places are given in the same way as in the real
life breed show “World Championship of 2003”.
13. Prizes for the Virtual Show consist of the following:
-The winner in the one-year-old class will be
given the title “The best yearling of the Virtual Show of the World
Championship 2003” and will receive a First degree Certificate with
a red rosette. The other prizewinners in this class will receive Certificates
of Second and Third degree with blue and green rosettes, respectively.
-The winners in the two-year-old class will be given the title “Virtual
Junior World Champion – 2003”, and horses at the second place will
be given the title “Virtual Reserve Junior World Champion – 2003”.
Horses taken first and second places will also be honored with red
rosettes and Certificates of First degree. Other prizewinners in this
category will receive Certificates of Second and Third degree with
blue and green rosettes, respectively.
-The winners in the major classes for
adult horses (three- to ten-year-old) will be given the title “Virtual
World Champion – 2003”, horses taken second places will be given the
title “Virtual Reserve World Champion – 2003”. Horses taken first
and second places will also be honored with red rosettes and First
Place Diplomas with the corresponding certificates. Other prizewinners
in this category will receive Diplomas of Second and Third degree
with blue and green rosettes, respectively.
14. Announcement of the Virtual Show’s
results, as well as the award ceremony will take place before the
start of the Breed Show “World Championship – 2003”.
15. Certificates, diplomas, rosettes and any other related accessories
may be given to the horse owners or their representatives at the Event
directly, or sent to the owners by mail after the Event.
Requirements
for the video of your horse:
-A horse should be presented either in an ordinary bridle without
“capsule” with a snaffle bit and without a nose band, or in a show-bridle
with snaffle bit and without a noseband.
-A horse should be filmed at a hard surface spot of at least 20x20
meters or more.
-You should first film the left side of a horse in its zoo technical
position for two minutes, then you should film your horse as it is
moving in a triangular pattern. First, a horse walks away from the
video camera, then it should turn to the right and continue walking
along the edge of the filmed image, then turn right again and walks
toward the video camera, and then stop and be filmed in its standing
position from its right side (this standing position should be recorded
for two minutes). The next step is to film your horse in a trot: first,
it should trot away from the video camera, then it should turn left
and move along the edge of the filmed image at the maximum extended
trot pace, and then it should turn left again and trot toward the
video camera. A picture below presents the recommended scheme for
your video recording.
-The person who leads the horse during its recording should in no
way obstruct the view of the horse.

1. Each Meetings and Championships participant
must be registered in advance and entered into the Catalog.
2. The preliminary application should be completed by August 1, 2003

4. A complete application (see below) should be submitted to the competition’s
Credentials Committee at the time determined by the Organizational
Committee, but no later than two hours before the start of the judging.
The completed application must conform to the conditions of Article
20 of the Rules for Equestrian Sport Competitions.

VIRTUAL SHOW FOR THE TITLE
“Virtual World Champion”
1. 100 Euro /horse;
2. 10% discount for the members of MAAK/AATK;
3. 10% discount if one owner presents 5-10 horses;
4. 20% discount if one owner presents over 11 horses;
5. If the a horse is entered into both Virtual Show and Video Advertisement,
it gets 15% discount from the total cost of the two events.
The video-advertising
company will be first time presented within the frames of
International Sport Meeting. To take part in it, please, send videotapes
of your horses for sale, breeding, sport etc. We recommend to videotape
your horse according to the scheme required for “Virtual Show”, but
you can also use any other way that represents your horse the best
way. The length of the advertising video should not exceed 5-6 min.
The videotapes will be shown non-stop during the Meeting, starting
with the beginning of the work of Mandatory committee.
