breeders and owners of Akhal-Teke horses! We offer you unique possibilities
to present the maximum number of your horses in front of expert committee,
to receive official grades and diplomas. All you have to do – take
part in the Virtual Show for the title “Virtual World Champion”. This
year special price is only 20 Euro/horse.
The 5th anniversary Virtual show for the title “Virtual World Champion
2009”
Regulations
1. Horses allowed participating in the
Virtual Show:
Purebred Akhal-Teke horses with documents from General Studbook of
purebred Akhal-Teke horses (VNIIK).
-Mares from 1 to 10 years old
-Stallions from 1 year old.
-Mares with foals
2. Horses allowed participating in the Virtual Show:
-horses that have already earned the highest titles “World Champion”
or “Virtual World Champion”;
-two-sided cryptorchids.
3. You should furnish the following in
order to participate in the Virtual Show:
-completed application (please print, see below)
including horse' name, color, gender, date and place of birth; the
horse owner’s full name, mailing address, telephone and fax numbers,
and email address;
-high-quality video tape or DVD recording of the participating horse
which meets the requirements listed below;
-three high-quality A5 size (15x20cm) color photos of the participating
horse, two of which should be the close-up side shots of the horse
standing in proper zoo-technical position - one from the right side
and one from the left side; the other photo should be the close-up
side view of the horse’s head. You may send one additional photo if
you wish, that captures your horse at a more creative angle.
-copy of the horse’s VNIIK passport or pedigree certificate, confirming
its origine.
-veterinary certificate (in English or Russian) that states health
condition of the horse, presence or absence of exterior flaws, for
example one- or two-sided cryptorchism or a shortened lower jaw;
-paid fee for participating in the Virtual Show (see
below).
4. Requirements for the video
of the horse:
-The horse should be presented either in an ordinary bridle without
“capsule” with a snaffle bit and without a nose band, or in a show-bridle
with snaffle bit and without a noseband.
-A horse should be filmed at a hard surface of at least 20x20 meters
or more.
-You should first film the left side of a horse in its zootechnical
position for at least two minutes, then you should film your horse
as it is moving in a triangular pattern. First, a horse walks away
from the video camera, then it turns to the right and keeps walking
along the edge of the filmed image, then it turns right again and
walks toward the video camera, and then stops to be filmed in standing
position from its right side (this standing position should be recorded
for two minutes). The next step is to film the horse in a trot: first,
it should trot away from the video camera, then it should turn left
and move along the edge of the filmed image at the maximum extended
trot pace, and then it should turn left again and trot toward the
video camera. A picture below presents the recommended scheme for
the video recording.
-The person who leads the horse during recording should in no way
obstruct the view of the horse.
5. All required

7. The video and photos are not returned.
8 . The organizers have the right to use videos and photos for advertising
the Akhal-Teke breed outside of the frames of the Meeting.
9 . The Virtual Show has following categories:
-Class of Yearling fillies*
-Class of Yearling colts*
-Class of Junior fillies (2 years old)
-Class of Junior colts (2 years old)
-Main class of mares 3-10 years old
-Main class of stallions 3-10 years old
-Contest among sires of 11 years old and older “Best of the sire”
-Contest among mares with foals “Best of the mare”
*Yearlings are divided by gender only if there are at least 3 participants
of each gender.
** Contests are held if there are at least 3 participants.
9. Horses are judged by expert committee
of 3 judges (announce later)
10. Each judge gives his/her own evaluation on a scale from one to
ten of the type and confotmation of the presented horses, and enters
the evaluations into the protocol.
11. The highest title in its nomination
can be given to a purebred Akhal-Teke horse, clinically healthy. The
horse shall not have expressed exterior drawbacks, criptorchism (horses
older than 3 years old), shortened lower jar, springhalt, curb, cradle-back
and loin, emaciated condition.
12. The reults of the Virtual Show are
announced at the websites www.maak.su and www.maakcenter.org
13. Certificates, diplomas, rosettes and any other related prize accessories
may be sent to the horse owners by postmail.
